    Learn how the U.S. and Philippine histories are tied together in this photo exhibit featuring important milestones—from the arrival of Filipinos on October 18, 1587 (long before the Mayflower Pilgrims), to the contribution of the vibrant Filipino community in Wisconsin. 

    This free exhibit is for all ages.

    Watch the PAMANA Alab Dancers, meet the Filipino community, and learn how the U.S. and Philippine histories are tied together.

    This free event is part of PAMANA's outreach to neighboring counties.

    This special event brings together multiple Filipino American organizations in Wisconsin for a day of learning, music, and community.

    The celebration will include:

    • Afternoon Symposium – Conversations on the different disciplines of art as reflections of the socio-economic and political environment of the Philippines.
    • The Great Filipino Songbook – A special performance by SamaSama Project.
    • Dancing – To joyfully cap off the month’s celebration together.

    PAMANA will set up a booth on Filipino books and literature for attendees to check out.

    This joint event by PAMANA and the Filipinx American Student Organization (FASO) will be headlined by Dr. Juan Fernandez of UW-Madison's Department of History.

    Dr. Fernandez will give a talk on the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition (famously known as the St. Louis World's Fair) and why it is important to learn this part of U.S. and Philippine histories.

    This event is free. Specific venue to be announced later.
